She said, work was delayed because money had guidance that kept changing and much of it was released in the third quarter. Yet, still work was affected by rains, couple with few machines, shared by District and Municipality.
The DRDC Mr Sakajja Martin appreciated the NRM government and assured the people of Kapchorwa that, in the next three FYs, all roads in Kapchorwa shall be motorized as long as NRM is on power.
He vehemently supported Bob, Municipal Eng, to open Munda – Bulambuli road in next FY because it’s a security road and it will shorten transport to the plains.
The two engineers of District and Municipality assured members of the roads committee that all money currently is in materials and service providers.
The district roads committee was on Thursday in a monitoring and evaluation tour, with a wrap-up meeting for all the roads so far worked on by two billion. These roads include Chema – Burkoyen, Gamogo – Gizuswa, Chesoyen – Weere, Siron – Towut, and Burkoyen – Kunuron roads
The meeting chaired by madam LCV Kapchorwa Mrs Chebet Evelyn was attended by Hon Twallah Fadil, MP Tingey,, CAO, Mr Martin Kiplangat, clerk Mr Ogwang Tony, DISO, District Eng, Municipal Eng, District Secretary for works, roads supervisor and assistant Eng.
