RDCs AND DCOs WITHDRAWN AS EMYOOGA SACCO SIGNATORIES

The Minister of State for Microfinance Hon. Hajji Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo has given autonomy to all Emyooga SACCOS countrywide to manage their own accounts like withdraw without RDCS and DCOS effective tomorrow 31st May 2024

He further assured SACCO leaders that there will be automatic additional seed capital of twenty million to their accounts every financial year until the coming of Jesus without bureaucracies of the district technocrats

The Hon. Minister also continued warning Ugandans who don’t want to get rich amidst all the economic programs rolled out by the NRM government.

“H.E President Museveni has fought many battles and won like the six killer diseases. COVID-19, among others, so, how can this disease call poverty fail him? The poor should get ready to make statements and face penalties, “ he said.

The RDC Kapchorwa Mrs Deborah Mugerwa Mwesigwa asked the minister to increase the seed capital for SACCOS, and the government should involve Police because it’s hard to deal defaults
She recognized the best performing SACCOS in Kapchorwa district and Municipality.

The CAO Kapchorwa Mr Martin Kiplangat thanked Hon Minister for coming to energize Emyooga.
Mr Kiplangat asked the minister to talk with banks, and charges on SACCO accounts are minimized, like for PDM.

He also requested the minister to increase the funding of District Commercial Officers, equip Chiefs and CDOs with gadgets for effective monitoring of Emyooga program.

Hon. Hajji Haruna was addressing Emyooga SACCO leaders from Kapchorwa at the district headquarters which was attended by Political leaders headed by the LCV and Mayor, technical staff headed by CAO and Clark of the two administrative units, Security Organs, Commercial Banks and Microfinance Support Center staff.
