The District Census Committee (DCC) Kapchorwa has asked the District Census Commissioner Representative (DCCR) to address the complaints raised by citizens of Kapchorwa especially missing villages.
In a meeting chaired by the LCV Kapchorwa Mrs Chebet Evelyn Kubarika, at Kokhall, members tasked the DCCR Mr Otim Vincent to raise issues of Kapchorwa so that people are not left out in the coming census due on the 09th May, 2024.
Chepterech S/County is the most affected with 19 villages not yet mapped, central division, Amukol, and western division.
Mr Otim promised DCC to have hope because
” _it matters to be counted”,_
every citizen of Uganda must be counted.
He encouraged the floating population ( those whom midnight finds outside homes, i.e., travelers and street kids)
